I have always dreamed of visiting Sicily. When we found out that we could get to the island fairly easily from Bratislava, Slovakia, we jumped on the opportunity. A week is not a long time for exploring this Italian gem, but after racking up almost 1,000 km on our rental car, we were pretty pleased with what we managed to see. From fantastic food to stunning landscapes, Sicily was a dream to visit.
As COVID restrictions were relaxing, we saw the possibility of visiting my birthplace of Slovakia. With a 10-month-old daughter in hand, we jumped on the opportunity and found ourselves seated on a Europe-bound plane before we knew it. Slovakia is a land of fantastic food, magical towns nestled in the hills, stunning nature, and endless photo subjects. I am so grateful for the opportunity to explore more of my homeland with family!
